Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. is a federal contractor providing MBSE engineering services. The MBSE Engineer develops and maintains digital models using SysML to support system architecture, requirements analysis, design, integration, and verification throughout the lifecycle.

The role collaborates with systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test teams to improve communication, traceability, and informed system-level decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain customer clearance as required by the contract.
• Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage system models using MBSE methodologies and SysML.
• Create and maintain system architecture models representing system structure, behavior, functions, interfaces, requirements, and dependencies.
• Develop SysML diagrams and models, including block definition, internal block, activity, sequence, state machine, requirement, use case, and parametric models.
• Translate customer, mission, and operational needs into structured system requirements and model elements.
• Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, system functions, architecture elements, interfaces, and verification activities.
• Support functional decomposition and allocation of system functions to subsystems and components.
• Model and analyze interfaces, data flows, system interactions, and dependencies across subsystems and external systems.
• Develop system architectures and digital engineering artifacts to support concept development, design decisions, integration, and system lifecycle activities.
• Support system-level trade studies and technical analyses using system models to evaluate design alternatives and system behavior.
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, network, integration, and test engineers to ensure models accurately represent the system.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation by using system models to identify requirements, interfaces, dependencies, and verification relationships.
• Develop and maintain MBSE modeling standards, modeling conventions, reusable model elements, and architecture frameworks.
• Maintain model integrity, consistency, configuration, and version control throughout the system lifecycle.
• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and conflicts within system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and models.
• Support technical reviews, architecture reviews, requirements reviews, design reviews, and customer technical interchange meetings.
• Generate technical documentation, architecture views, reports, and other engineering artifacts from system models.
• Support integration of MBSE models with requirements management, simulation, test, configuration management, and other engineering tools.
• Apply digital engineering and digital thread concepts to improve the management and exchange of engineering information.
• Support the implementation and adoption of MBSE processes, tools, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Automate modeling, analysis, reporting, or other engineering processes using scripting or programming languages when applicable.
• Ensure MBSE activities and deliverables comply with applicable customer requirements, industry standards, modeling practices, and program processes.

The Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining digital models that represent the architecture, requirements, behavior, interfaces, and relationships of complex systems. This role applies Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies and SysML to support system architecture, requirements analysis, system design, integration, and verification throughout the system lifecycle. The MBSE Engineer collaborates with systems, software, hardware, cybersecurity, integration, and test teams to develop authoritative system models that improve technical communication, requirements traceability, design analysis, and system-level decision-making.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.

The estimated pay range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
