Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II to support engineering projects by applying fundamental principles and collaborating with team members to design, develop, and improve systems, processes, and tools.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of engineering concepts, with 2–4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree. This role involves field activities, safety compliance, and close coordination with project teams.

  • Conduct field inspections to assess quality, performance, and conformance to plans and standards.
  • Collect and analyze data from site operations, including equipment performance and material usage.
  • Coordinate between field and office teams, providing updates and reporting progress.
  • Work with project managers, senior engineers, and contractors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including reports, diagrams, and drawings.
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow safety protocols.

SUMMARY

The Engineer II supports engineering projects by applying fundamental engineering principles and working collaboratively with other team members to design, develop, and improve systems, processes and tools. Possess strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of engineering concepts. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance of FAA VAP for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property. Travel will be up to 5%. Strong understanding of engineering principles. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications. Proficiency in basic engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, etc.). Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills using the lates software tools.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assists in planning and overseeing field activities to ensure alignment with project specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.

  • Conducts field inspections to assess quality, performance, and adherence to project plans and engineering standards.

  • Collects and analyzes data from site operations, including equipment performance and material usage.

  • Supports the coordination between the field and office teams, providing updates and reporting project progress.

  • Works with project managers, senior engineers, and contractors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.

  • Assists in preparing engineering documentation, including reports, diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Participates in safety meetings and adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.

  • Supports the development and execution of field‑testing procedures and ensure equipment and procedures are up to code.

  • Communicates effectively to a range of stakeholders with written and verbal mechanisms.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and two to four (2-4) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to lift, push or pull 50 pounds or more using cart or hand truck. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May work near moving or mechanical parts. May have exposure to chemicals, fumes, warehouse environment or adverse weather conditions. Wears required personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, dust masks, and safety belts on a continuous basis. Moderate to high risk of electrical shock. Minimum exposure to vibration, moving and mechanical parts. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions. PAY RANGE

The estimated pay range for this role is $70K to $80K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
