Job summary

Position Summary

As a Mortgage and Business Servicing Specialist, the road to success is built on strong relationships with members, agents and the mortgage and business lending team. Members count on your exceptional attention to detail and for mortgage and business documents to be accurate and complete. You'll build trust, because you'll take the initiative to follow up and be an industry expert when discussing new mortgage and business lending products or existing loans serviced by the credit union.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Providing quality service to members, potential members, coworkers and agents including prompt and professional responses and follow ups:

• Handle inquiries from members and employees regarding the servicing of real estate loans, such as questions relating to payments, taxes, etc
• Verification that property taxes are paid on loans serviced by the credit union
• Assist with the annual submission of HMDA data for the credit union
• Prepares routine letters to members and full satisfaction of mortgage releases on liens which are paid in full
• Provides information regarding mortgage and business products to members inquiring about new services
• Verifies that rate changes are accurate and notices are mailed in a timely manner
• Responsible for organizing closed real estate files and tracking final titles to ensure they are received as expected
• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the department's goals which are created in conjunction with corporate goals
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• Financial industry and/or mortgage servicing experience preferred
• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
• Ability to communicate effectively while using technology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to represent the credit union institution in a positive and professional way
• Knowledge of general mortgage lending laws and practices

Specific Job Tasks

• Verify ARM adjustments
• Provide Payoff Letters
• Track low balance mortgage and business loans for misapplied payments
• Complete Satisfactions
• Scan files to image system
• Discuss mortgage and business products with members considering loan options
• Handle incoming servicing calls on existing accounts
• Perform FM on existing mortgage and business accounts
• Review tracking of CPI on real estate loans
• Work with Corelogic on annual tax payment verification
• HMDA yearly submission assistance
• Process partial release and subordination requests for members

Work Environment

• Office environment with frequent interaction with members, loan officers, attorneys, and vendors.
• Requires sitting, typing, and reviewing documents for extended periods.

Salary: $35000.00 - $38000.00 per year
