Job summary

Winston-Salem State University seeks an MBA Program Instructor to join our adjunct pool for Spring, Summer and Fall terms. Online instruction, evening Zoom office hours, and strong instructional skills are required to deliver courses to graduate students.

Minimum qualifications include 18 graduate credit hours in relevant fields; a doctoral degree is preferred. This is a time-limited, 1-2 semester appointment with commensurate pay based on experience.

Position Overview

The College of Business & Entrepreneurship is seeking to add Adjunct Instructors to its pool of Adjunct Faculty for the upcoming Spring, Summer and Fall Terms.

To develop students within the Master's of Business Administration program.

Minimum Experience/Education:

• A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in one of the follow: Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and/or other related fields. These may include but are not limited to AI, business analytics, or leadership.
• A professional certification or significant current experience may be acceptable in some cases.

Normal Work Schedule:

• Online classes - weekdays and evenings
• Office hours on Zoom (2 hours a week)

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Adjunct faculty will:

• Teach assigned classes, maintain office hours (a way for students to contact and receive guidance from the faculty member), grade assignments, provide feedback to students, and post grades while adhering to relevant university policies.
• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons.
• Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, timelines, and an approved syllabus.
• Provide engaging and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes.
• Suitably challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
• Complete grade books, mid-term and final grade submission, learning assessments and final exam assessments on a timely basis.
• Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
• Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
