Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer on 2nd shift in Moline, IL to program, set up, and optimize Mazak CNC machines for high-precision components.

The ideal candidate has Mazatrol programming experience, strong blueprint reading with GD&T, and a track record of producing quality parts in fast-paced environments. This contract-to-hire role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience programming Mazak CNC machines using Mazatrol.
• Hands-on experience with Mazak Integrex and Mazak Mill.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Ability to set up and machine close-tolerance, precision components.
• Experience performing detailed quality inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol for custom and low-volume parts.
• Set up and operate Mazak Integrex and Mazak Mill to produce complex components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Select tooling, determine machining processes, and establish efficient production methods.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Verify dimensional accuracy and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes and cycle times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following quality and safety standards.
