Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Support Services Associate (Journey) to manage on-site warehouse operations for the Energy Services Department, handling purchasing, inventory control, and handling stock of acids and caustics for water treatment. A valid NC driver’s license is required, forklift certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of MAXIMO inventory system preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed inventory records and monitor stock.
• Manage receiving, delivering, storing, and issuing supplies.
• Obtain quotes and assist with procurement of components and equipment.
• Support reorder of acids and caustics for water treatment.
• Coordinate with operations on just-in-time delivery for outages.
