Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college; or High School Diploma with 2 years related experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in natural resource management.
• Knowledge of native Hawaiian flora, fauna, and alien species threats.
• Ability to use field tools, operate GPS, and drive a 4WD vehicle; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct native ecosystem protection and management activities on Maui.
• Drive to field sites to access work locations.
• Supervise field assistants, volunteers, and interns in the Field Crew Leader's absence.
• Maintain field equipment and track supply inventories.
• Assist with infrastructure projects (fences, trails, baseyards) and NEPM mission tasks.
• Collect data using GPS, ArcGIS, field notes, photos, and MS Office.
