Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance on Maui is seeking a Part-time Custodian Floater to support multiple sites with cleaning and upkeep. You will travel to various worksites within a single day, follow site timelines, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a Hawaii driver’s license, and prior janitorial experience. Training is available. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–8:00 PM (15 hours/week). Hourly pay is $16.00.

Qualifications

• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Public relations skills and communication in English
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred; willing to train

Responsibilities

• Ability to travel to various assigned worksites within a single day.
• Competence in performing tasks under any weather conditions.
• Execute scheduled cleaning services according to site timelines.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• A willingness to learn is vital.
• Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Properly utilize and care for custodial equipment and supplies.
• Report any issues to the Supervisor while safeguarding client property.
• Ensure the cleanliness of communal areas within the building by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces; vacuuming floors and carpets; emptying trash bins and disposing of waste.
• Restock supplies as needed; clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces; clean glass doors and entry areas; restrooms and lobby spaces; tidying lunchroom counters and sinks; inspect and clean sidewalks, parking areas, and entrances; maintain furniture and fixtures.
