Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance on Maui is seeking a Custodian Floater to join our team. This part-time role supports multiple assigned worksites, with a schedule Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–8:00 PM, totaling 15 hours per week.

You will perform cleaning tasks to maintain safe, inviting spaces for clients and occupants. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Hawaii driver's license with reliable vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver?s license and reliable vehicle.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial experience preferred, and willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Good public relations and communication skills.
• Physically able to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various assigned worksites within a single day.
• Perform cleaning tasks under any weather conditions.
• Execute scheduled cleaning services according to site timelines.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for occupants.
• Detail-oriented cleaning and equipment care.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Report issues to Supervisor and protect client property.
• Clean and sanitize common areas: sweep, mop, vacuum, trash, restock supplies.
• Clean restrooms, entry mats, lobby spaces, glass doors, and surfaces.
• Inspect sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and ATMs.
