Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Part-Time/On Call Custodian to support Haleakalā National Park in Maui, Hawai`i. The role involves cleaning two visitor centers, offices, and restrooms and may transition to full-time as opportunities arise.

The candidate must have a high school diploma, 2 years of custodial experience, and a valid Hawaii driver’s license. Excellent attention to detail and ability to lift 30 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of custodial work experience required.
• Must lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to manage time to complete tasks on schedule.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail to keep facilities presentable.
• Able to use small hand and portable power tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide custodial services for visitor centers, offices, campground and trailheads.
• Perform basic cleaning, trash removal, restrooms and floor disinfection.
• Assist with special events and periodic deep cleaning.
• Adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain supplies and report needed repairs.
