We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, with a specific focus on matrimony and divorce matters. This position involves a significant amount of client interaction, therefore excellent communication skills are a must. The candidate will also be responsible for handling a high volume of matrimonial cases, so the ability to multitask and manage time effectively is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment with a seasoned team of professionals.

We are only considering candidates located in Washington State with 2+ years of family law experience.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive paralegal support to our team of attorneys in all aspects of Matrimonial Law.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as divorce petitions, financial statements, child custody agreements, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing them with updates on their case and addressing their questions or concerns.
  • Organize and maintain client files and case documents, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate with court officials, other attorneys, and service providers as necessary.
  • Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information, in compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, specifically within Family Law.
  • Extensive knowledge of matrimony and child custody laws and procedures.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing a high volume of cases.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court officials.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is preferred.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
