InterContinental Boston is seeking a Server Assistant to support our refined dining experience in the Food & Beverage operation. You will help keep tables ready, assist servers, and uphold Forbes-level service standards, ensuring every detail aligns with our guests’ expectations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a service-focused mindset.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reset and maintain tables between seatings with speed and grace.
• Assist servers with timely delivery of food and beverages to guest tables.
• Keep dining spaces clean and orderly, including floors and surfaces.
• Stock and replenish service stations with napkins, silverware, and condiments.
• Fill water glasses and serve non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house service areas.
• Transport and separate used china, glassware, and flatware for cleaning.
• Participate in daily briefings and service training to uphold Forbes-level standards.
• Collaborate with culinary, bar, and stewarding teams to ensure smooth service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Position Overview

As a Server Assistant, you play an essential supporting role in our Food & Beverage operation. You are the unseen elegance behind every polished table setting, the extra pair of hands that ensures service flows effortlessly, and a key contributor to the refined ambiance our guests expect. With poise and presence, you'll help create memorable, elevated dining experiences-while upholding the highest service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Reset and maintain tables with speed, grace, and precision between seatings
• Assist servers with timely delivery of food and beverages to guest tables
• Ensure dining spaces remain pristine, including floors, chairs, windows, and surfaces
• Stock and replenish service stations with napkins, silverware, condiments, and other essentials
• Support the flow of service by filling water glasses and serving non-alcoholic beverages
• Maintain organization and sanitation standards in back-of-house service areas
• Transport and separate used china, glassware, and flatware for cleaning
• Participate in daily briefings and service training to uphold Forbes-level service standards
• Collaborate with the culinary, bar, and stewarding teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to support dining operations

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience

• Comfortable bending, kneeling, and handling hot or heavy trays
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
