Job summary

The University of Tampa invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position as Assistant Teaching Professor / Lecturer for the 2027-28 academic year. Successful candidates will hold at least a master’s degree in mathematics or related fields, with rank determined by degree.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematics education, statistics, or related fields.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and university service.
• Experience teaching lower-level Mathematics courses (Introductory Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Finite Mathematics, Calculus for Business).

Responsibilities

• Teach four 4-credit courses per semester.
• Possibility to teach in the summer for additional compensation.

Education

Master’s degree in mathematics or related field

Terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D.)
