Job summary

Florida State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor of Elementary Mathematics Education starting August 2027. The position resides in the School of Teacher Education within the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

Responsibilities include research with external funding, teaching undergraduate elementary mathematics methods courses and graduate courses, advising Master’s/Doctoral students, and service to the university

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Elementary Education or related field by August 2027.
• Strong record of scholarship with peer‑reviewed publications, conferences, and collaborations.
• Productive research agenda addressing Elementary Mathematics Teaching or Learning.
• Experience teaching at elementary and post‑secondary levels.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research and seek external funding related to Mathematics Education for Elementary Students.
• Teach undergraduate elementary mathematics methods courses and graduate courses.
• Advise and mentor Master’s and Doctoral students.
• Collaborate with Elementary Education and STEM faculty; provide service to the university and community.
