Job summary

CSN invites applications for an Adjunct Mathematics Instructor to teach courses as assigned, online or in-person, and to respond to student emails promptly. You will develop syllabi that conform to CSN standards, provide a week‑to‑week overview, teach the co‑requisite model, and hold at least one hour of office hours per week per section.

Requirements include a Master’s in Mathematics or related field with 18 additional math credits or 3 years teaching experience; pay is $925 per credit hour,

Qualifications

• Master’s in Mathematics or Statistics or related STEM field.
• Master’s with 18 additional math credits acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics courses as assigned and scheduled in Web-Remote or In-Person format.
• Respond to student emails in a thoughtful and professional manner (within 24 hours preferred).
• Develop syllabi conforming to CSN standards with week‑to‑week course/outcome details.
• Be aware of and ready to teach co-requisite models of courses.
• Collaborate with adjunct and full‑time instructors through the College’s Community of Practice.
• Hold at least one hour of office hours per week per section taught.
• Respond promptly to emails from the Adjunct Coordinator and Department Chair.
