Job Title and Posting Information

Mathematics FT Faculty, CFS Professional.

Posting close date: Thursday, October 1, 2026. *NOTE: Last day to apply is Wednesday, September 30, 2026 @ 11:59 p.m. (MST).

Start Date and Application Deadline

Start date of this position: Fall 2027; applications are invited for a CFS-track professional (teaching) faculty position in the Department of Mathematics at Brigham Young University, beginning in August 2027. Starting rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The department has a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Candidates will be evaluated based on evidence of excellent teaching and the potential to make significant contributions to service. The application deadline is July 22, 2026.

Required Degree
  • PhD in mathematics or a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Duties / Expectations
  • Teaching mathematics courses at the undergraduate level.
  • The teaching load will generally be 8 or 9 courses per academic year, including the Fall and Winter semesters and one of the Spring or Summer terms.
  • Service within the department and supporting university, college, and department goals and missions.

Employment Requirements

All faculty are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrine of the affiliated church.

This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
