The Ladder Method, Inc. is a Los Angeles private education company offering in-person academic support and study skills coaching to West LA families. We seek experienced educators to join our team of Academic Coaches for part-time hours.

We value tutors who can teach Math across Algebra I to Calculus and Statistics, have strong communication, and are reliable. In-person work is required in Los Angeles, with assignments across West and Central LA areas including Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Experience working with high-net-worth families strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Professional, polished, and highly reliable.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday).
• Available for approximately 10–15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person math tutoring and support across Algebra I–Calculus and Statistics.
• Adapt lessons to student needs and learning pace.
• Build confidence, curiosity, and study habits for long-term success.
• Communicate progress and outcomes with families and clients.

We Are Specifically Seeking Tutors With Strong Proficiency In

Math

• Algebra I
• Algebra II
• Geometry
• Precalculus
• Trigonometry
• Calculus AB and/or BC
• Statistics

Proficiency in Science subjects is a plus, but not required.

We are looking for individuals to work in-person in Los Angeles. The main areas we serve are:

• West areas: Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades
• Central areas: Beverly Hills, Cheviot Hills, Bel-Air, Hancock Park
• East areas: Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz
• San Fernando Valley: Sherman Oaks, Burbank, Tarzana, Reseda, Pasadena

We are currently hiring for both immediate placement and the upcoming school year.

Compensation is for in-person tutoring and is determined by experience, subject expertise, and education.
