Job summary

The Ladder Method, Inc. is seeking experienced tutors to deliver in-person math coaching across West Los Angeles, including Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Venice and Marina del Rey. We welcome educators who can adapt to high-net-worth families and independent school settings.

Ideal candidates hold a BA or higher and have tutoring experience, strong communication, reliability, and a professional approach. Availability for weekday afternoons/evenings and one weekend day is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Experience with high-net-worth families strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, polished, and highly reliable.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday).
• Available for approximately 10–15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring in West LA for listed subjects (Math/Science).
• Support students to develop math confidence and study skills.
• Coordinate with families to tailor sessions to student needs.
• Maintain punctuality and professional conduct during sessions.

We Are Specifically Seeking Tutors With Strong Proficiency In

• Algebra I
• Algebra II
• Geometry
• Precalculus
• Trigonometry
• Calculus AB and/or BC
• Statistics

We are looking for individuals to work in-person in West LA, including:

• Santa Monica
• Brentwood
• Pacific Palisades
• Venice
• Marina del Rey

We are currently hiring for both immediate placement and the upcoming school year.

• $45-$65 per hour (based on experience and education)

Compensation is for in-person tutoring and is determined by experience, subject expertise, and education.
