Tutors provide academic support to increase student academic achievement by meeting with students to clarify learning objectives and outcomes and work on study skills. Tutors serve as a supplement to classroom or online teaching. Tutors assist faculty, deans, and the Learning Assistance Supervisor in supporting the student success initiatives of Tidewater Community College.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
