Gwinnett Technical College seeks a part-time Math Tutor to support students at the Alpharetta Campus. The role is non-benefited and non-exempt, reporting to the Coordinator of Academic Support Labs. Candidates will assist students with math concepts and study skills in a lab setting.
The position requires at least 6 credit hours of college-level math, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse student backgrounds. Up to 19 hours per week, on-site.

This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Developmental Studies Department that reports to the Coordinator of Academic Support Labs. Working primarily at the Alpharetta Campus.
May work up to 19 hours a week depending on business needs and budget.
Successful completion of at least 6 credit hours of college-level math courses. Interview and testing for subject competence are required. Ability to listen to students and focus their attention. Ability to explain complex math concepts. Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to form good working relationships with peers and students. Ability to work with diverse student backgrounds. Ability to coach study skills and behavior toward successful course completion.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and previous college-level tutoring experience and successful completion of at least 6 credit hours of college-level math courses with 3.0 or higher.
Under general supervision, Aid students in understanding math concepts introduced to them in the courses offered at Gwinnett Technical College.
