Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach mathematics, non-benefited and exempt from benefits. The position reports to the Program Director of Mathematics for the Lawrenceville Campus and pays via lump sum based on contact hours.

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver lectures or labs, develop lesson plans for general core courses, assess student progress, and maintain required records.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies.
• Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Job Description:

This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA exempt position in the General Education Division that reports to the Program Director of Mathematics for Lawrenceville Campus.

Salary

Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum based on contact hours taught.

Doctorate or Master’s degree in discipline OR Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, Postsecondary teaching experience.

Job Description Summary:

Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material. Prepares lesson plans for on - campus classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
