Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Educational Aide for Web Design to support the Computer Science Division in a part-time, non-benefited role. The aide assists student computer users under supervision, reports to the Program Director – Web Design, and helps maintain a productive lab environment.

Preferred candidates may have coursework in Web Design/Development and strong customer service and technical troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in web design/development is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office 2013/2016 proficiency desired.

This job is a parttime,non-benefited position intheComputer ScienceDivision that reports to theProgram Director – Web Design

Salary

$15.60per hour.

Minimum Qualifications(Job Code H1001):

Highs School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Sometechnicalcollegecoursespreferred(CIST 1001, CIST 1510, CIST 1530).Excellentcustomer service and communication skillsrequiredand should be able to troubleshoot operatingsystem,hardware, software, Microsoft Office 2013/2016 applications, cd/DVDburning, and printer issues. Ability to be flexible in working conditions,schedules, and be able to lift 15 to 30 lbs. Open to training and skills development.We also require the following skills: attention to detail, ability to multitask, stay on top of deadlines, fast learner, training skills, reporting/documenting capabilities, and excellentpeople skills.

Experience/certificationor pursuing certificationinWeb design/ Development, Game Design/Development,Microsoft Office2013/2016, Web,Browsers,and any other computercertification is a plus.Preference will be given to applicants whoare current students atGwinnettTechnicalCollegein the Computer Science Division.
