YES Prep in Houston, TX is seeking a Teacher for a 10-month position starting at $64,000 annually. This TEA-eligible district offers the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) potential up to $102,800, plus an additional up to $32,000 via TIA designation under performance rubrics.

Responsibilities include developing rigorous lessons, tracking student growth, and maintaining regular communication with families. The role emphasizes data-driven instruction and collaboration with content teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by THECB.
• Texas Educator Certification, or willing to join ACP to get certified.
• Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology.
• Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms.
• Belief in and commitment to YES Prep Public Schools’ mission.

Responsabilités

• Develop rigorous lessons in your content area for 1:1 blended learning to reignite students’ college readiness.
• Set ambitious goals with students and monitor progress with feedback.
• Track student growth and create growth plans using data and coach feedback.
• Build strong relationships with students and families through regular communication (phone, video conferencing, email).
• Create a learning environment conducive to students’ physical, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with co-planners on daily lesson plans and resources to fit student needs.
• Meet deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and work samples.
• Work with a team of teachers and leaders to ensure consistency, support, and accountability.
