Job summary

Learnvia in United States seeks a Learning Engineer with a math instruction background to instrument our platform, collect meaningful learning data, and analyze it to drive improvements in learner outcomes. This role sits at intersection of learning science, data, and product.

You will collaborate with product managers, instructional designers, SMEs, and engineers to design events, ensure data quality, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for courseware and instructional

Qualifications

  • Requires Undergraduate degree and at least two years of experience in Learning Sciences, Data Science, Mathematics Education, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • Experience teaching mathematics for at least two years at high school or college level.
  • Knowledge of mathematics pedagogy and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Experience analyzing learner data in large-scale learning platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering to design and implement event tracking across lessons and practice activities.
  • Ensure logging schemas capture learners’ attempts, hints, time-on-task, persistence, and error patterns.
  • Audit and maintain data quality to ensure trustworthy insights.
  • Analyze learner data to identify opportunities to improve mathematics instruction and course design, coordinating changes and measuring impact.
  • Apply learning science models to track skill growth and predict mastery.
  • Translate findings into recommendations for product and instructional design improvements in math learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, instructional designers, SMEs, and engineers to shape features informed by data.
  • Support A/B testing and experiments to measure efficacy of interventions.
  • Communicate research findings clearly to diverse internal and external audiences.
