Job summary

Mathnasium LLC. is seeking a part-time Math Instructor / Tutor at Mathnasium of Redwood Heights in Oakland, California. This rewarding position allows you to transform the lives of K-12 students by using the Mathnasium Method in a fun, supportive work culture. Consistent hours are available after school and weekends, and continual training on effective teaching methodologies is provided. A math literacy test is required during the hiring process. Pay is $19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about math and enjoy working with students.
• Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.
• Math competency through at least Algebra I is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method.
• Deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials.

What you will do as a Math Instructor / Tutor

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
