Job summary

Mathnasium Learning Centers in Buffalo Grove, IL, is hiring Math Instructors/Tutors to deliver Mathnasium Method instruction in center, online, or hybrid delivery. You’ll work with K-12 students, adapting to individual needs and keeping sessions engaging and safe.

Ideal candidates are passionate about math, have strong interpersonal skills, and are eager to learn. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and flexible after-school and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency through Algebra I.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instruction sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.

Job Responsibilities

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

We do not offer any Summer only positions due to the amount of training time needed to become an instructor.
