Job summary

Velocity Staffing seeks a Math Instructor / Tutor to transform the lives of K-12th grade students through engaging math instruction. You'll teach in-center and online, assess student progress, and work in a supportive environment.

The role requires a passion for math, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency through Algebra I. Part-time hours after school and weekends available, compensation ranging from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour.

What you will do as a Math Instructor / Tutor

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.

Compensation: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour

Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
