Job summary

Mathnasium in Mukilteo is looking for Math Instructors/Tutors who are passionate about helping students excel in math. You will teach/tutor in various formats, assess student progress, and work alongside a supportive team. A flexible schedule with part-time hours is offered.

Ideal candidates should be motivated to support students through Pre-Calculus and must demonstrate math proficiency through testing. Opportunities for growth and continuous training are available!

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in tutoring or teaching roles.
• Commitment to work 2-3 full shifts (~4-5 hours) a week for at least 7 months.
• Must pass a math literacy test for proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement.
• Collaborate with team members for individualized instruction.
• Maintain a safe and professional learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and be trained
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• Ability to teach effectively through Pre‑Calculus
• Minimum High School Junior standing; College Freshman standing or above preferred
• 1‑3 years experience working in a tutoring/teaching/mentoring role
• Must be able to commit to working 2‑3 full shifts (~4‑5 hour shifts) a week for a minimum of 7 months
