Job summary

Jefferson RISE Charter School in Gretna, LA seeks a full-time teacher to develop and execute a standards-aligned curriculum, improve instructional practices based on feedback, and collaborate on curricular needs.

Reporting to Academic Dean, the teacher will deliver engaging instruction across class settings, provide tutoring, analyze student data with the Dean, and meet deadlines for administrative tasks while supporting school culture.

Qualifications

Degree in content area (preferred).
Content area certification (preferred).
Technological proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
High level of personal organization and planning.
Proven track record of student achievement and/or growth.
Commitment to the mission and success of Jefferson RISE.
Ambition and desire to grow as a leader.
Openness to feedback and responsibility for school affairs.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement standards-aligned curriculum, annual plans, unit plans, and assessments.
Provide engaging, rigorous instruction in various class settings and tutor as needed.
Collaborate on instructional/curricular needs and use feedback to improve performance.
Analyze student achievement data with the Academic Dean and inform instruction.
Complete administrative requirements before deadlines and support school culture.
