Job summary

Genesee Intermediate School District seeks a Partnership Math Coach to lead math coaching, professional learning, and implementation of high-quality math practices across schools in Genesee County. The role focuses on improving student math performance through data analysis and targeted interventions.

The coach will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and MICIP teams, align district priorities, and support ongoing professional development and program evaluation in mathematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and valid Michigan teacher certificate in mathematics.
• Master’s degree in mathematics, curriculum development, educational leadership, or related field preferred.
• Graduate credit beyond the master’s degree in research, curriculum design, program planning and evaluation of mathematics programs preferred.
• Five years of successful math teaching or coaching; recent math teaching experience.
• Experience analyzing Michigan math assessment systems (MSTEP, PSAT, SAT) or similar tests; develop instructional strategies.
• Experience with Michigan Mathematics Standards and Benchmarks; MICIP planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach in math, model, provide professional learning and implement effective instructional practices.
• Support teachers and administrators to analyze student assessment and achievement scores.
• Collaborate with MICIP, Partnership Goals and district priorities to guide math initiatives.
