Join to apply for the Math and Science Teacher role at Fusion Academy

Our campus has an immediate opening for a Math / Science Teacher. This position provides a student-centered, supportive classroom that promotes resourcefulness, critical thinking, self-awareness, and inclusion while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student through Fusion’s differentiated approach. The position will involve training over the summer and starting to teach in Fall 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one teaching in Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and possibly Statistics for grades 6-12.
  • Adapt and differentiate instruction to meet all students' needs and foster holistic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of teachers and students.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with parents.
  • Contribute to and engage with the campus community.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and self-reflection.
  • Mentor students as part of the teaching role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including tutoring students part-time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a strong background in Math and/or Science.
  • Solid knowledge in at least some of these areas: Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics at grades 6-12.
  • Teaching credentials are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with students with learning differences and ADHD is advantageous.
  • Outgoing, organized, computer literate, and eager to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be prepared to teach and tutor high school level material immediately.
