Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (Maternity) to join the team for a full-time shift pattern from 7a-7p. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient- and family-centered care, and continuous quality improvement.

The RN will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and participate in professional development and safety initiatives. Requires nursing degree and RN licensure; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate patient care, involving patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate,EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and promotes ethical, patient-centered care.
