Job summary

Saint Mary Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for Maternity Services to lead Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, NICU, and Perinatology. This role oversees daily operations, staffing, and quality improvements across the Women’s and Children’s services, driving patient outcomes and staff development.

The role requires a BSN, PA RN licensure eligibility, and recent Labor & Delivery experience, with options for MSN in the preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery required.
Demonstrated knowledge of maternal-child health nursing practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

Provide operational and clinical leadership for all Maternity Services departments.
Lead, mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff, charge nurses, and clinical leaders.
Drive quality, safety, patient experience, and colleague engagement outcomes.
Manage staffing plans, scheduling, productivity, and departmental budgets.
Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning activities.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Lead departmental initiatives related to growth, operational excellence, and strategic goals.
