Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services is seeking a Maternity Counselor to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and education to pregnant participants and parents of young children. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field required; must be eligible for LCSW, LMFT, or LMSW licensure in Texas
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with children and families
• Must maintain current, valid Social Work/LPC/LMFT licensure throughout employment
• Requires ability to drive and provide proof of liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the Maternity Counseling program to meet client needs
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and education to pregnant participants and parents
• Complete needs assessments and create individual therapy plans with clients
• Provide services in individual, family, and group settings
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with guidelines and licensing standards
• Advise and support birth families through the adoption process and court-related steps
• Travel as needed and participate in on-call rotation
