Job summary

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington is seeking a Social Worker/Counselor I or II in Fairfax for Pregnancy and Adoption Support. The role provides options counseling, adoption planning, and case management during pregnancy and after placement, with training and community outreach.

Qualifications include a MSW or related degree (or BA with 3 years’ experience) and experience in child welfare recommended. Hybrid schedule; travel as needed; strong communication and driving needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years social work/case management experience.
• Experience working in child welfare preferred.
• Has completed NTI/TAC/TBRI or Grief Counseling Certification for II level.

Responsibilities

• Provide adoption options counseling, planning support, and case management during pregnancy and after placement.
• Complete adoption home studies within designated period in alignment with standards.
• Maintain infant and foster/adoption cases.
• Advocate for adoptive families to support informed adoption placement.
