Job summary

Texas Family Care Network is seeking a General Adoption Recruiter to connect children waiting for permanent homes with families seeking to adopt. You will manage recruitment, matching, and support services, submit/update child profiles to TARE, and review inquiries.

You will coordinate staffing with DFPS, CASA, and guardian ad litem, and provide recommended home studies and adoptive matches. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and 2 years in child welfare.

Qualifications

• Education/Credentials/Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
• Experience: Requires two (2) years relevant experience in child welfare; familiarity with foster care, adoption, trauma, medical and developmental needs; knowledge of state child welfare rules and procedures.
• Clearances: DPS, DFPS, FBI, CBCU Eligibility Determination, Child Abuse Clearances.

Responsibilities

• Register children on TARE if no family identified within 60 days from Termination of Parental Rights.
• Keep profiles and photographs updated.
• Coordinate/host selection staffing with DFPS, CASA, ad litem, and guardian ad litem.
• Provide home studies to staffing participants for review.
• Present recommended adoptive homes to all parties.
• Notify DFPS when a family agrees to proceed with adoption.
• Coordinate presentations and follow up with families post-staffing.
• Learn background of families/children to inform support strategies.
• Track inquiries and ensure timely responses (within 3 business days).
• Complete recruitment flyers and participate in on-call rotation and duties.
• Maintain calendars and independently prioritize tasks.
• Contribute ideas to streamline processes; collaborate with other systems to improve outcomes.
• Establish rapport with clients, families, and colleagues; support collaborative relationships.
• Engage in ongoing supervision and professional growth; participate in meetings.
