Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, seeks a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer for on-site PRN coverage. You will operate ultrasound equipment, perform obstetric and fetal assessments, and communicate results to the radiologist within a patient-centered imaging team.

Qualifications include ARDMS cert or eligibility within 18 months, RDMS/RVT preferred, and BLS. Level II/III experience paths and clinical ladder growth are available within Duke Health.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire or eligibility.
• RDMS and RVT certifications preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate clinical ultrasound equipment and perform diagnostic exams.
• Conduct obstetric, fetal, abdominal, vascular, and other ultrasound studies.
• Record, analyze, and communicate findings to Radiologist.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during exams.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and department records daily.
• Assist in training students and junior staff on ultrasound techniques.
