Job summary

UPMC in Harrisburg is seeking a full-time Scheduling Coordinator to support the Maternal Fetal Medicine team. The role requires front desk responsibilities, scheduling patient appointments, handling calls, and coordinating with nurses and physicians.

Shift: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays. Travel up to 25% to Mechanicsburg may be required; free parking and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Front desk medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple calls and scheduling.
• Familiarity with EPIC or other EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses, medics, APPs and MD with scheduling decisions when illness is suspected.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate related correspondence.
• Enter appointment details into EPIC/EMR and schedule new and returning patients.
• Provide patient information on available services and financial assistance.
• Greet patients and visitors and act as receptionist for the department.
• Coordinate with referring physicians and manage communications.
• Schedule all evaluations and manage calendar logistics.
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
