Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our obstetrics and gynecology team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. The role performs OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stress tests, and AFIs under routine supervision, and assists with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures.

You will evaluate images and generate reports in collaboration with physicians, while helping train patients and staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program.
• 1–2 years OB/GYN ultrasound experience.
• RDMS certification or willingness to complete within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, NSTs, and AFIs.
• Evaluates image quality and enters data to generate reports with physicians.
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment and assists with supply management as needed.
• May assist in training patients, staff, physicians, students and other professionals.

MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology.

TheUltrasound Technologist performs, under routine supervision, Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stresstestsand AFI's.Assistswith amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures.

Primary Duties:

• Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound examsutilizingdifferent scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested.

• Evaluates images for quality. Photographsappropriate imagesutilizing multiformat cameras. May access, manipulate, store, and print M.I. digital images. Reviews processed images with physicians.

• Entersdata to generate sonographic report. Works with physicians, nursingstaffand schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly.

• Mayassistin training and education of patients, employees, physicians,studentsand/or other healthcare professionals.

• Cleans andsterilizesequipment and procedure table before and after each procedure. Maybe responsible fororassistincontrolinventory andpurchasing ofsupplies for assigned area.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.

• 1-2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound.

• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered or successful completion of certification within 180 Days.
