Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist for the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. The role conducts OB/GYN sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stress tests, and May assist with amniocentesis and CVS procedures.

The candidate will perform fetal morphology assessments, evaluate image quality, and assist with documentation and scheduling to ensure prompt patient care. RDMS certification and OB/GYN ultrasound experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• 1–2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• RDMS registration or successful completion of certification within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth, and color Doppler studies.
• Evaluate images for quality and print/store images; review with physicians.
• Enter data to generate sonographic reports and coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and schedulers to ensure timely visits.
• Assist in training and education of patients, employees, physicians, students, and other staff.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and manage supplies for the assigned area.
