Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified Medical Sonographer (RDMS) for the Maternal and Fetal Medicine department in Wisconsin. You will perform obstetric ultrasound imaging from first trimester through delivery and collaborate with physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, social workers, and medical assistants to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and their diagnosis.
• Proficient in performing scans of various anatomical areas and identifying cross sectional anatomy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to advanced obstetric ultrasound imaging and procedures (first trimester, anatomy, growth, Dopplers, etc).
• Selects transducers and adjusts factors for accurate exams and uses non-standard techniques when needed.
• Reviews medical records and communicates with patients to obtain history data.
• Calibrates and maintains ultrasound equipment; reports issues to BIOMED/leadership.
• Maintains records of ultrasound examinations and documents billing codes.
• Assists in clinical instruction of students and residents.
