Job summary

UF Health is seeking a skilled obstetric sonographer to conduct diagnostic ultrasound exams under the supervision of Maternal Fetal Medicine leaders. The candidate will assist with invasive procedures and coordinate unit testing activities as required.

The role requires RDMS certification in specified specialties or equivalent licenses and BLS. Experience in high-risk OB and related programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Education: GED or High School Diploma.
• Education: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
• Required Licensure/Certification: RDMS in Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echocardiology (FE), Neurosonology Registrant OB/GYN, Pediatric Sonography (PS); BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic obstetric ultrasound exams and assist with invasive procedures as needed.
• Coordinate testing activities in the unit as requested.
• Perform procedures in the area.

Education: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Required Licensure/Certification:

• RDMS certification in one of the following specialties: Abdomen (AB)
• Breast (BR)
• Fetal Echocardiology (FE)
• Neurosonology Registrant - Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
• Pediatric Sonography (PS)
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Licensure/Certification: For OB/GYN positions

• CLEAR certification - NTQR certification
• Required Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a specialty ultrasonographer position preferred
• Experience: Clinical Experience in High Risk OB, CLEAR (Cervical Length Education and Review Program), Fetal Echo Experience, or MFM experience
