Job summary

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Sonographer in a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice.
• ARDMS certification mandatory; fetal medicine certifications preferred.
• Diploma or certificate from an accredited medical sonography program required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures per industry standards and department policies.
• Demonstrates independent judgment in two-dimensional ultrasound imaging of female reproductive anatomy and fetal structures.
• Evaluates requests and determines appropriate procedure protocol and methods.
• Uses equipment and techniques to generate ultrasound images with attention to patient safety.
• Provides patient education before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety.
