Aufgaben

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures per industry standards and department policies.
• Demonstrates independent judgment in two-dimensional recordings of female reproductive anatomy and fetal structures.
• Evaluates requests for diagnostic ultrasound and determines the appropriate protocol.
• Utilizes equipment to generate ultrasound images and minimizes patient exposure.
• Provides written and verbal patient education before, during and after procedures.
• Collects information to aid physician diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Documents imaging procedures for accurate charging and filing.
• Sends acquired images to PACS with correct accession numbers for future retrieval.
• Monitors supplies in imaging rooms and maintains a clean, orderly environment.
• Reports equipment issues or disrepair to supervisor promptly.
