Job summary

Strong PACS skills and mastery of ultrasound equipment are essential. Candidates should have ARDMS certification and fetal medicine foundation credentials within 6 months, with a patient-focused approach and attention to safety.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification mandatory.
• Two or more years’ experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice.
• Certification in Fetal Medicine Foundation areas within 6 months is required. Maintains ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to department standards and policies.
• Demonstrates independent judgement in performing two dimensional ultrasound recordings of female reproductive anatomy and fetal structures.
• Evaluates requests for diagnostic ultrasound services and determines appropriate procedures.
• Operates equipment and preserves patient safety while generating images.
• Provides patient education before, during and after procedures to reduce anxiety.
