Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Services Manager for maternal fetal medicine sonography at Duke Perinatal Wilmington in Wilmington, NC to oversee daily practice of sonographers and maintain high-quality imaging.

The role includes staff hiring and evaluations, performance improvement, budgeting, and collaboration across departments to ensure efficient imaging services and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical field such as Nursing, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupations Therapy, Speech Therapy or related field.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience, including supervisory experience.
• ARDMS OB/GYN and Fetal Echocardiogram certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical practice of sonographers, and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement performance improvement activities and QA of images.
• Manage hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions and scheduling; and counsel and conduct formal discipline of clinical staff.
• Market imaging services to referring physicians and improve customer satisfaction.
• Assist with ultrasound budget components, analyze financial information and trends; prepare corrective action plan as necessary.
• Facilitate the team process including interdisciplinary communication and negotiation skills; evaluate educational and competency needs of staff.
• Resolve concerns encountered by personnel in development of objectives and goals, budgets, facility, equipment and supply needs, and operations process.
• Conduct performance evaluations for team leaders.
• Work with all levels of the DUHS system to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and ensure effective use of imaging services.
