Job summary

UnitedHealthcare in North Carolina seeks a Maternity and Child Health (MCH) Manager to oversee maternity and pediatric case management, leading case managers, CHWs, and support staff to ensure timely, coordinated, person-centered care.

You will partner with market leadership, providers, and national teams to support regulatory compliance, documentation quality, and continuous improvement of maternal and infant health outcomes. Remote work is available for NC-based staff.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• 5+ years of maternal-child health, obstetrical nursing, pediatric nursing, neonatal, case management, population health, or related clinical experience.
• Experience in Medicaid managed care or similar health plan environment.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of NCQA standards and care coordination workflows.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational results.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach, and support pediatric and maternity case managers and related staff.
• Oversee outreach, assessments, risk stratification, care planning, monitoring, and postpartum follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and complete documentation in clinical systems.
• Monitor workloads, productivity, and quality outcomes; drive program improvements.
• Provide clinical guidance for complex maternity/pediatric cases and coordinate with providers.
