Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking a Manager Operations Supply to organize and direct activities of storerooms, warehousing, and logistics for the Harmon Building #33 and North White Plains locations. You will ensure efficient inventory control, safe operations, and compliance with policies while supervising staff and coordinating with operating departments.

The role requires a BA/BS in a relevant field and at least five years' material management experience, with three years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Finance, Economics, Transportation or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in material management, including perpetual inventory systems.
• Minimum 3 years managing a diverse workforce.
• Familiarity with Material Management and Warehouse Management systems including PeopleSoft or similar system.
• Knowledge and experience with collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee harmon Building #33 storeroom inventory, warehousing, security, and staff supervision.
• Direct storeroom activities: receipt, storage, issuance, cycle counts, and deliveries.
• Coordinate material flow for Capital Programs and Production, ensuring emergency material support to operations.
• Implement and enforce warehouse SOPs and safety programs; manage staff development and discipline.
• Monitor budgets, overtime, and inter-department inventory allocation issues.
