Job summary

State of Minnesota is hiring a Materials Transfer Driver in the Facilities Management Division. The role involves driving a state vehicle to collect and deliver mail across agencies, the legislature, and the public.

When not driving, you will work in the central mail hub operating postal machinery and processing USPS mail. Minimum qualifications include a Minnesota CDL and experience with large box vans, as well as basic computer skills and data entry.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Minnesota Class C Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record.
  • Experience operating a large box van and using motorized vehicle tailgates under various weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills- email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Data entry and management skills sufficient to log and retrieve inventory specifications.
  • Customer services skills sufficient to develop effective working relationships.
  • Ability to operate mailing equipment.
  • Ability to maintain records and manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Spend roughly 60% of the day on the road driving a state vehicle to collect and deliver mail across participating state agencies, the legislature, and the general public.
  • When not driving, work in the central mail hub operating postal machinery and sorting outbound USPS mail.
