Techmetals, Inc. is seeking a Materials Testing Technician in Dayton, OH to help ensure the quality and reliability of metal components used in aerospace, defense, medical, and other essential industries.

Qualifications

• Education or hands-on experience in materials testing, metallurgy, mechanical testing, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a strong work ethic in the laboratory.
• Cut, mount, and polish metal samples for testing.
• Conduct standard mechanical testing and tensile testing on metal samples.
• Capture and analyze photo-micrographs of samples.
• Record test data accurately and maintain spreadsheets as required.
• Analyze data and prepare reports as needed.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure the work area is clean and organized.
• Clock in and out for shifts, breaks, and meal periods according to company policies.
